FDA provides flexibility to the food industry to support food supply chain, meet consumer demand during COVID-19 crisis

The FDA is aware that consumers are worried about a possible food shortage for themselves and their families. As a result, they are working with the food industry and the USDA to provide flexibility about federal food labeling and other requirements.
The FDA has issued temporary guidance that provides flexibility to the food industry, including restaurants, food manufacturers, producers, and retailers, to help support the supply chain and meet demands of consumers.
This includes nutrition labeling, menu labeling, and guidance about shell eggs.
