Neogen Corporation has received approval from the AOAC Research Institute for its rapid and accurate test for the total viable count (TVC) of microorganisms in a sample. The test detects microorganisms in as little as 4 hours and takes only 24 hours to register a negative result. Conventional methods can take up to 2 days.
