D.J. Irving
EnvironmentalistDJ was an environmentalist for 5 years with the Metro Public Health Department in Nashville. He obtained his MPH in epidemiology at Eastern Tennessee State University in 2015. DJ is currently employed by the Tennessee Department of Health within the Foodborne Illness Program and funded through CDC’s Environmental Health Specialist Network (EHS-Net). He is responsible for the implementation of the National Environmental Assessment Reporting System (NEARS), providing foodborne outbreak investigation support and training, and performing food safety research.
