Dr. Purni Wickramasinghe has been with Chick-fil-A, Inc. since 2021, where she leads strategic food safety risk assessment and mitigation initiatives across the organization. In her current role, she leverages advanced machine learning and AI technologies to assess, quantify, and manage food safety risks at an enterprise level. Prior to her tenure at Chick-fil-A, Dr. Wickramasinghe conducted post-doctoral research at Rutgers University, focusing on the impact of gut microbiota on reproductive hormones and the role of polyphenols in metabolic disease management. She holds a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from Monash University, a Master’s in Food Microbiology from Chonbuk National University, and a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology with an emphasis on Natural Products Chemistry from the University of Tennessee.
