Scott Oakland is currently serving as a Corporate Staff Engineer in Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) at Hormel Foods, where he has dedicated 11 years to driving excellence in sanitation and food safety. Scott is known for his ability to troubleshoot complex food safety challenges and is passionate about creating and maintaining systems that ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in food production.

Before joining Hormel Foods, Scott honed his mechanical expertise through distinguished service in the United States Air Force as a Sargent and Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Specialist. He further expanded his aviation credentials as an Aircraft Mechanic and Electrician in the U.S. Army, achieving Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification as an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic.

At Hormel Foods, he has dedicated 32 years to advancing sanitation processes and food safety. As a Sanitation Manager he showcased his leadership and technical acumen and in his current corporate role, he specializes in training, troubleshooting sanitation processes, equipment design for hygiene, pest control coordination, and eradicating microbiological issues.
