Dr. Eastwood joined MilliporeSigma in 2021 as a development scientist dedicated to Assurance® GDS pathogen testing solutions. He holds a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from the University of Toronto. His role has involved overseeing the design of Assurance® GDS assays, developing new food testing applications and providing technical support to customers. He has 15 years of experience as a molecular biologist and has received career awards from the Human Frontiers Science Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
