Following the entry of a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA’s FSIS) for a state meat inspection program in July 2022, the Oregon Department of Agriculture been allocated $9 million in state funding to support the state meat inspection program.

Arkansas is the 29^th state to enter into a cooperative agreement that allows for Arkansas’ inspection program to inspect meat products produced for intrastate shipment under the State Meat and Poultry Inspection program.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA’s FSIS) and the state of Oregon have finalized a cooperative agreement that allow for Oregon’s inspection program to inspect meat products produced for shipment within the state.
