Boar’s Head Appoints Natalie Dyenson as Chief Food Safety Officer

Boar's Head has appointed Natalie Dyenson, M.P.H. as its new Chief Food Safety Officer, effective May 12, 2025. The hire follows a series of food safety initiatives taken across the organization following a fatal, nationwide listeriosis outbreak linked to its deli meat products that occurred in 2024.
In her new role, Ms. Dyenson will spearhead the company's food safety program, leveraging her expertise to ensure the integrity of Boar's Head products. She will also work closely with the Boar’s Head Food Safety Advisory Council, formed in September 2024, on continuous innovations and enhancements to the company’s food safety and quality processes.
Ms. Dyenson has nearly three decades of experience in food safety, encompassing the grower, retailer, and foodservice sectors, with a track record of developing and implementing robust food safety programs. Boar’s Head highlighted her understanding of the regulatory landscape, industry best practices, and innovative food safety technologies.
Prior to joining Boar's Head, Ms. Dyenson served as the Chief Regulatory and Food Safety Officer for the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA). Her career also encompasses leadership roles including Vice President of Food Safety and Quality at Dole Food Company, Senior Director for Supplier and International Food Safety at Walmart, and Food Safety and Health Manager for Walt Disney World, as well as various food safety positions at Silliker, Kash n’ Karry Supermarkets, and Harris Teeter.
Ms. Dyenson has authored articles on root cause analysis for Food Safety Magazine and serves on the Food Safety Summit Editorial Advisory Board.
