Neogen Corporation announced today that, effective immediately, Richard Calk, Jr. will take over as president and chief operating officer. Calk is replacing Steve Snyder, who stepped down last summer.

Calk’s senior management experience includes roles at CP Kelco, Roquette America and DSM Food Specialties. He most recently served as vice president of chemicals for Nexeo Solutions. Over the years, Calk has established new operations on an international level and has managed various food and agricultural products.

"Richard's background in operations, sales and marketing management, along with his strategic planning skills, will provide excellent leadership at Neogen as the company continues to grow both domestically and internationally," said James Herbert, Neogen's chief executive officer and chairman.

Calk and his family will be relocating from Texas to Michigan.
