SafetyChain Software yesterday announced that Mangopack, a fresh-cut fruit processor focusing on extended shelf-life products, has selected SafetyChain as its partner to automate Mangopack's food safety and quality assurance (FSQA) programs.
The processor will be using SafetyChain’s food safety chain management system (FSCMS), SafetyChain for Food, to:
- Automate supplier compliance for its approved vendor programs
- Electronically capture food safety and quality data at the earliest point possible – including from the plant floor using mobile devices
- Leverage real-time analysis of food safety and quality data-to-specs – with alerts when non-conformances are detected – to promote timely corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs)
- Create a centralized database of its FSQA data for trending, continuous improvement and audit readiness
- Support Mangopack’s Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) compliance programs as well as its regulatory (FDA) and customer compliance requirements
- Position Mangopack for compliance with FDA’s Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA)
