The 2017 version of AIB International’s Consolidated Standards for Inspection of Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs was released last week. The new standards--which will be implemented January 1, 2017--are more focused, current, and easier for food companies to use.
“Our Consolidated Standards for Inspection allow your food safety programs to reach their highest potential,” says Stephanie Lopez, AIB’s vice president for food safety services, Americas. “This update incorporates important trends and needs for today’s global food chain to help food plants minimize their risk of food safety contamination and exceed a customer’s expectations for providing wholesome and safe products.”
AIB offers ten unique Consolidated Standards for Inspection, each tailored to specific industry segment requirements. Some Standards will be updated throughout 2016 and others in 2017. Each will be implemented in year following the release to give companies time to prepare. The updated Consolidated Standards for Inspection of Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs are available for purchase on AIB International’s website.
