As part of an ongoing expansion project, Q Laboratories has purchased two buildings in Cincinnati, OH.
Both buildings sit adjacent to the 30,000 sq. ft. laboratory building that Q Laboratories currently has under construction. That building is scheduled to be completed in spring 2018.
The newly-acquired buildings include 25,000 sq. ft., and will eventually serve as administrative offices that support the company’s microbiology, analytical chemistry and research and development laboratories.
“Capacity expansion has been a continued focus of the company and we did not want to wait until first quarter 2018 when construction is completed to give these two laboratories much needed space.” says Q Laboratories president and CEO Jeff Rowe.
Until the new lab building is completed, Q Laboratories has relocated the Microbiology Pharma Laboratory to the newly purchased buildings, allowing for expansion of both that lab and the Microbiology Food Lab, which will utilize vacated space at the current location.
