The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will host three virtual, instructor-led Self-Assessment and Verification Audit (SAVA) Workshops for the Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards (Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards) in 2024. The times and dates are as follows:
- February 20–23, 2024, daily, from 11:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M. ET
- March 26–29, 2024, daily, from 11:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M. ET
- April 30–May 3, 2024, daily, from 11:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M. ET.
The SAVA Workshop is specifically designed for state, local, territorial, and tribal (SLTT) regulatory agencies and will provide participants with an in-depth overview of all nine Standards of the Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards. The Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards provide a foundation and system through which all regulatory programs can build a continuous improvement process and serves as a component of a comprehensive strategic approach to help ensure the safety and security of the food supply at the retail level.
Registration information about the SAVA Workshop can be found here. General workshop questions should be directed to an FDA Retail Food Specialist.
