The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Mars Inc. have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote better global understanding and application of Codex Alimentarius international food safety standards, such as those regarding allergen management and mycotoxin control. 

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture recently signed a memorandum of understanding, entering the agencies into a partnership agreement to set the foundation for domestic mutual reliance and an integrated food safety system in Pennsylvania. 

Penn State University, Meru University of Science and Technology, and Meru County in Kenya have entered a partnership to advance food safety in Kenya through research.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health (CDC’s NCEH) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that formalizes a partnership between the agencies for the purpose of reducing foodborne illness hazards in food retail and foodservice establishments.
