Conference on Cleaning, Sanitation for Low-Moisture Food Production Happening in Minnesota in April

In April, the Illinois Tech Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH), the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Food Research Institute (UW-FRI), and the Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition Sciences (IAFNS) are jointly hosting a two-day, in-person symposium, titled, “Innovations in Cleaning and Sanitation for Low-Moisture Foods.” The event will take place at the Land O’ Lakes Headquarters in Arden Hills, Minnesota on April 29–30, 2025.
The conference will focus on innovations in cleaning and sanitation of environments producing low-moisture foods. Topics discussed during sessions and roundtable talks will include:
- Design of manufacturing facilities to enhance safety
- Low water usage in cleaning and sanitation
- Microbiological monitoring of dry cleaning and sanitation
- Overcoming barriers in dry cleaning and sanitation
- Research “lightning” talks
- Updates from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Session leaders will include expert representatives from regulatory agencies, academia, the private sector, and non-profit, research, and industry groups.
