The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), in partnership with the International Food Protection Training Institute, has announced the launch of their Listeria Control Specialist certificate program, for food safety management in food manufacturing facilities. AFFI's Listeria Control Program© is what the curriculum will be based on, designed by subject matter experts and food safety processionals from across the food industry. The aim of the program is Listeria monocytogenes prevention and control inside frozen food facilities.

All participants who complete the certificate program will be recognized as an expert, and can be designated to control L. monocytogenes within their facilities. Regulatory officials, sanitation and quality professionals, and construction and maintenance contractors may also benefit from participating in these courses.
