The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will be hosting a virtual Retail Food Protection Seminar, which will take place September 13–16, 2021. It is free to attend the event, and registration is open to anyone interested in retail food safety, including state, local, territorial, and tribal regulators, industry, and academia.
In the New Era of Smarter Food Safety blueprint, retail modernization is a priority. FDA is exploring the best ways to further modernize and help ensure the safety of foods sold at restaurants, retail establishments, and elsewhere.
The seminar will include region-specific breakout sessions and workshops on funding opportunities. The Association of Food and Drug Officials is partnering with FDA to host this event.
