Bureau Veritas, a provider of laboratory testing, inspection, and certification services, has announced the opening of its third U.S. microbiology laboratory, based in Reno, Nevada. The facility will conduct rapid pathogen testing and microbiology indicator analyses for the agrifood sector.
The new laboratory is ISO 17025 accredited, which verifies the facility’s technical proficiency and the accuracy of the data it produces. The laboratory is part of Bureau Veritas’ broader network of North American microbiology and chemistry laboratories that provide various services to the agrifood sector, including GFSI certification and training services, as well as agriculture commodities inspection, grading, and testing. Bureau Veritas, which has a global presence, states its commitment to expanding its geographic scope and offering product verification services to the North American agrifood market.
