The Consumer Goods Forum’s Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has launched a consultation on a new Food Safety Auditor Professional Development Framework.

Intended to meet the current global challenge of declining numbers of food safety auditors—which has resulted in poorer quality and consistency of audits—the framework aims to provide a clear and consistent guideline for food safety auditors to assess themselves, as well as to pursue ongoing professional development and participation in the food safety auditor community. Developed by an independent group of multi-sectoral experts, the framework provides opportunities for anyone wishing to engage in the food safety auditing profession, from entry level to expert.

GFSI is inviting all interested stakeholders to comment on the newly developed Food Safety Auditor Professional Development Framework through this feedback form.
