Fairmont Foods, Inc., a Fairmont, Minn. establishment, is recalling approximately 35,145 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef gravy products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically clear pliable plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local partners, are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Uganda illnesses likely linked to whole, fresh papayas. 

In relation to the Growers Express recall of select fresh vegetables, Trader Joe's has been alerted by our supplier of the following fresh Zucchini Spirals and Butternut Squash Spirals, sold only in the identified locations, that product with the specified date codes may have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

King Arthur Flour Inc. recalled all-purpose flour with wheat from ADM Milling Co. for possible E. coli, expanding health officials’ outbreak investigation linked to ADM flour.

San Giuseppe Salami Co. by Giacomo, an Elon, N.C., establishment, is recalling approximately 832 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE), frozen andouille sausage products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

In cooperation with ADM Milling Co., Brand Castle, LLC of Bedford Heights, Ohio is voluntarily recalling 25 oz and 32 oz glass jars of cookie and brownie mix out of an abundance of caution because it may be contaminated with pathogenic E. coli.   

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state and local partners investigated a multistate outbreak of foodborne illnesses associated with the consumption of raw oysters harvested in Estero El Cardon, Baja California Sur, Mexico between the dates of February 12, 2019 and April 9, 2019.

Out of an abundance of caution, UNFI is voluntarily recalling its 10 ounce packages of Woodstock frozen Organic Grilled Red Peppers because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
