Loma Systems has announced the launch its new IQ4M Metal Detector product inspection system in North America. The solution is designed to address key food safety challenges, providing comprehensive contaminant detection while minimizing false rejects.
The IQ4M Metal Detector combines Loma’s patented Variable Frequency technology with advanced Multi-Spectrum detection to effectively find contaminants in packaged meat and poultry, bakery items, convenience food, and metallized film products used in the snack and confectionery industries. Dynamic Data Screen+ (DDS+) technology offers improved signal analysis, while Quick Recovery technology reduces downtime by facilitating faster product switching and minimizing false rejects.
To strengthen security and traceability, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) security tags ensure controlled access, and Industry 4.0-ready Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC-UA) connectivity guarantees seamless data exchange with other systems.
IQ4M heads are UL-certified for both the U.S. and Canada. The system also features an IP69 rating, meaning it is completely washdown-resistant, ideal for demanding food production environments.
