GFSI Responds to Stakeholder Feedback on Benchmarking Requirements v2024

The Consumer Good Forum’s Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has published a response to feedback received on the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements (BMRs) v2024 stakeholder consultation. The finalized GFSI BMRs v2024 will be published soon, according to the organization.
GFSI received 2,672 comments from regulators, nonprofit organizations, certification program owners and certification bodies, foodservice providers, trade associations, GFSI local groups, accreditation bodies, manufacturers, retailers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.
In response to feedback, GFSI published a list summarizing consultation outcomes and detailed responses to the comments received, categorized by whether the GFSI working group agreed with the comment, believed the comment to be based on a misunderstanding, identified an opportunity for improvement from the comment, or could not reach consensus on the comment.
